This is the compiled wish list of the whole staff, so if you feel like contributing, send it off to Leslie and she'll make sure each one of her staff gets their special secret wish gift. hey, we don't make any money over here, so we're not ashamed to trawl for booty now and then.

  • Todd - novelty post it notes and a chia head
  • Jack - breast enhancement cream, a calendar with baby animals on it

    Sucking in the 70s

Best said by non-staffer Ben Benjamin in a discussion of the movie Boogie Nights "I think I like the Red Kross version of the 70s better than the Marky Mark version." Here, here Ben, we agree, and what's more we have another question about this movie maybe you nice readers can answer.

Why is it that there has been a sudden shift in the marketing of Boogie Nights to the feel good movie of the century? They're trying to make the Dirk Digler story into that of a bildungsroman, very special Blossom style coming of age flick that the whole family would love and be inspired by. While we understand that the force of human triumph should be measured on a sliding scale, it's hard to point to Dirk Digler and call him a hero. Where is the spiritual victory in a boy who was a porn star, then an addict, then a porn star again? While we appreciate these fine thespians putting their asses on the line and all manner of other locations, simply being famous for having a tricky finish is a bit thin on inspiration for us, however, maybe we're just jaded.

    Double-Dippers Department:

While the next Meryl Streep is flipping burgers in Micky D's, and the next Stallone is honing his craft working for a phone sex service, certain showbiz superstars covetously let their egos run wild by having more than one film in release at the same time. In my late monthly column Blechbusters in the newsletter It's Only A Movie!, I would regularly expose these greedy bastards by putting their names in print. Because it seems perfectly suited for the requirements of a Smug column - namely, it's nasty and fills up space - I've decided to continue my tattling here in Feed Hollywood. If you spot somebody shamefully exposing themselves in a movie theater (on screen) while they could easily be found picking up yet another paycheck next door, feel free to let me know so I can smack their restructured noses with my rolled up electronic newspaper.

This month's list of stars recently caught hanging up an extra stocking includes: Freddie Prinze, Jr., John Travolta, Heather Graham, Richard Gere, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kevin Kline, Sigourney Weaver, Danny DeVito, Clancy Brown, and Sean Penn.
